What is Energy Therapy?

Energy Therapy is a general term for any therapy that works with the energy circuits in our physical and multi dimensional bodies to assist us in regaining balance and our innate healing abilities.

In addition to New Paradigm MDT, “energy therapy” also includes Reflexology, Kinesiology, and Acupuncture and other natural therapies such as Flower and Vibrational Essences, Crystal Healing, Color Therapy, Sound Therapy. Energy therapy practitioners are often trained in a number of modalities and combine these with intuitive and practical skills.

Energy therapy takes a holistic approach that looks beyond the physical to working with the subtle energy systems (meridians, auric bodies, chakras, nadis) where the cause of the dis-ease may be located.

What is energy and how is it connected to our health?

Everything is energy. Energy flows through everything and creates everything. Our thoughts and emotions are energy. The differences in vibrational frequency of energy gives us the illusion of substance and separation – like water changing from ice at slower vibration, to fluids and then to steam at higher vibrations.

Our personal energies are delicately balanced and we become “un-well” when our energy flows are disrupted or blocked from either internal or external factors.

Internal factors that can affect our energy systems include:

  • trauma
  • fears/phobias
  • anxiety and stress
  • childhood programming
  • limiting beliefs

External factors affecting our energy systems include:

  • environmental stresses and toxins
  • nutrition
  • exercise
  • posture

The health of our energy systems determines our mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. When our energy systems are out of balance or blocked we’re less able to cope and feel stressed, which in turn impacts our physical systems. This leads to ill health. When our energy systems are clear and balanced we’re better able to deal with situations and circumstances that might otherwise be stressful.

Dis-ease is our body’s way of telling us that our energy is not flowing freely and that something isn’t working in our lives. When we don’t pay attention to these messages, the warnings become stronger until we’re forced to take notice.
